After attending a local dance school, Lisa went on to study with the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, with whom she attained her Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) and Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Lisa also holds a HND in Musical Theatre and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Choreography and Dance, which she attained from Winchester University.
She is experienced and qualified to teach within the Lifelong Learning sector and at the beginning of her career, she trained and taught primarily within the Early Years and Foundation Stage.
Lisa has a passion for choreography, teaching and direction and has 16 years experience working with children of 2 years through to adult. She currently teaches at The Marist, Sunninghill and Heathfield School, Ascot for the Ascot based dance and drama school, NVSDD and Envy Performing Arts, a school she has been proud to work with for over 12 years.
With a level 2 Cheerleading coaching qualification with the NCSSE, Lisa has enjoyed teaching dance and cheerleading for the annual Summer School and Summer Camp at Heathfield School for the past 5 years, where she has also had the opportunity to choreograph and direct for a number of showcases and performances.
During term time, Lisa delivers dance classes in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Pointework and Conditioning. She also teaches solo, duo and group Musical Theatre and Acting following the LAMDA syllabi and teaches and examines AQA GCSE Dance.
Her past experiences gained from stage and screen performances during her years of studying inspired Lisa's love of teaching, choreography and direction. She feels very lucky to have the opportunity to motivate and nurture children and young adults through dance and drama training and believes in encouraging creative development and physical activity through the arts.
